Reconstitution: To follow best practice guidelines for reconstituting GHRP-6, reconstitute in sterile, bacteriostatic, distilled water, with light sonication if necessary.
Storage: Lyophilized GHRP-6 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -20°C.Upon reconstitution GHRP-6 should be stored at 2-8°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -20°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Like the other peptides we have covered so far, GHRP-2 acts as a lyophilized powder. It must be stored in a cool dry place, should be used for injection of antibacterial water or sodium chloride to rebuild. Once the peptide is reconstituted, GHRP-2 must be stored in a cold storage such as a refrigerator until ready for use. GHRP-2 can take high doses if needed; however, it is unclear how effective these high doses are.
Typically, GHRP-2 is used 2-3 times per day, about 100 mcg to 300 mcg per injection. As with other GHRP's, GHRH can also be used to maximize the effectiveness of the pulse wave combination in obtaining the pituitary pathway for release of growth hormone.
In humans, a dose of 1mcg/kg (100mg for a 100kg male) of GHRP-2 when combined with a GHRH of equal dosage creates a three-hour pulse of GH that is double the amplitude of an 8 IU synthetic (e.coli derived) growth hormone dose. IV, intramuscular and subcutaneous routes lead to different onset times but roughly similar peaks and declines.
While both of these amino acid peptides release growth hormone, there's a noticeable difference in GHRP-6, which speeds up digestion allowing for larger consumption of food. It's worth adding that this particular peptide is a first-generation GHRP.
What distinguishes GHRP-2 is its ability to cause growth hormone to be released more intensely. This second-generation GHRP is best for those who want to get the absolute most value from the growth hormone releases. On the other hand, if increasing low appetite is the main concern GHRP-6 would be best.
